Silt Socks

This filler filter fabric sock can be used as an alternative to silt fence in low-risk areas. It's an effective erosion control device that has a lower profile, making your property easier to access, with a more aesthetically pleasing look.

Silt socks allow water to flow through them at a controlled rate, while also trapping any sediment within. Their filter fabric is filled with filter material, which traps the unwanted elements. Its design provides direct contact with the ground, preventing any water from flowing underneath it.

The silt sock is an effective, proven perimeter control devise. They are available in 8" or 12" in diameter. Custom lengths are also available. They can be purchased in 120' pallets of six pieces that are 20' long.

Straw Wattles

These 9" or 12" tubular rolls of inert rice or wheat straw capture sediment and spread water, thus preventing erosion. Straw wattles are an eco-friendly and attractive option for erosion control. They can also slow any stormwater runoff, keep soil on your site, and prevent soil from washing onto other surfaces.

They're more efficient than silt fences and don't need to be removed. Straw wattles can also slow runoff velocity in low-slope and low-risk job sites. They can also be wrapped around storm drain inlets to slow down water and settle out sediment.

Straw wattles also can serve as check dams to prevent sheet erosion, as well as rill and gully development. They should be staked every five feet along the length of the wattle and overlap at a one-foot minimum.

Our wattles are palatalized in 9" x 25' lengths, 200' per pallet. Custom sizes are also available. If you have any questions about our erosion control products, call us at 978-417-1861.
